C. S. Institute of Defence & Management

Established on 15 July 1999,the Institute provides personality training to young men and women aspiring to become officers in the Armed Forces of the nation, through selection by the Services Selection Board (S.S.Bs.) In addition, it also conducts special need base human resource training programs for managers and executives in the corporate sector particularly related to value based management. The Institute also runs well-organized NDA, CDS & AFCAT WRITTEN COACHING classes.

The institute was established on 15 July 99 by Maj Gen MPS Kandal PSC (Canada) FIE, ME, MSc, MA (Psychology) immediately after he took pre mature retirement in June 1999. The Institute is run by Kandal Education & Defence Training Society (Registered). The institute provides value based personality training, particularly to young men and women aspiring to become officers in the Defence Forces of the country. The institute also extends training and other facilities to the corporate sector on a customized company specific basis.

The training at the Institute includes a specially designed GENERAL AWARENESS PACKAGE which includes the following:

• National, International affairs.
• Common aspects of economy.
• Technology issues.
• Social issues relevant to Indian society.
• Armed forces – Structure and major issues.

Management games, psychology tests, case studies, self exploration sessions, outdoor problem solving and challenging physical obstacles assist the participants in achieving the particular training objective. Individual interviews and personal counseling are also carried out. The training of the corporate sector is organized in the form of self, the company, loyalty, team work, leadership, efficiency and effectiveness. Time management and communication are special features of the corporate training.

The Institute has its own well managed guestroom (accommodation, lunch and dinner facility provided) providing excellent boarding and lodging. Being in the same premises it avoids candidates having to commute up and down in the city saving their precious time. The guestroom living also helps to develop maturity and well balanced social attitude among the candidates.
